National Girls Incorporated Awards for
Greater Lowell Programs
Each year, Girls Inc. National designates
18-20 Outstanding Program Awards chosen by a panel of judges
from applications submitted by 80 affiliates from across the
country and Canada. The Greater Lowell affiliate has won the following
awards:
2006 |
Outstanding Affiliate of 2006
Medium budget category - $400,000-$799,999.
Over the course of 2005, this organization not only underwent major renovations at their main building, but also raised sufficient funds to become long-term debt free. Throughout the fundraising efforts and facility improvements, board, staff and girls were involved in many capacities. In a year of celebrating their 60th Anniversary, this agency continued to grow in the number of girls served, improved trustee orientation and staff training, and created new partnerships with community organizations to advocate for ALL girls. |
